How often do you find yourself waiting? Studies show that people spend years of their lives just waiting! But
what do you do while you are waiting? If you are like most people, you probably sit while you wait. So next time
you are at the doctor’s office, the bank, the pharmacy or the airport, try offering your seat to someone who can
benefit from sitting down. You will make someone happy and lose approximately 36 calories an hour more than if you
were sitting. This does not seem like a lot of calories, but they add up over time and this is one case where every
little bit helps when finding ways to burn calories. Looking for an exercise program check out this link.
Think activity do activity
When was the last time you actually washed your own car? If you are like most of us, you will drive to the car
wash and sit around while someone else does it. Washing it yourself will not only burn up to 300 calories an hour
depending on the size of your vehicle, but you will be able to do it right. I always find something that I feel
they could have done better. Want to burn a few more calories go ahead and break out the wax everyone loves to have
a clean and shiny vehicle. You can make it a fun activity by involving the kids. Outside activities are not only
fun but great ways to burn calories without even knowing it.
Involve others
Lastly one of the most exciting and rewarding ways to burn calories is to go outside and do activities with your
children. Whether you walk to the community park down the road or your own backyard, you are bound to find some
activities you and your children will both enjoy. We already know that watching too much television or spending an
access amount of time playing video games is having a negative impact on children. Playing with the children will
get them off the couch, will certainly burn some calories for both of you, and it will not seem like a chore or
like working out at the gym. Depending on the activity you choose to do with your children, you can burn anywhere
from a few calories to up to 3 or 4 hundred calories in a half hour. Bike riding, catch, hide and seek, and tag are
all kid favorites and great opportunities to interact with your family and at the same time shed some lbs. and your
kids will thank you for it.
